What happens if my Budbee shipment is too large for a parcel locker?

When an end consumer selects delivery via Budbee when placing an order, it may become apparent during the packing process that the parcel is too large for a Budbee parcel locker.

In this case, the shipment cannot be sent to the selected Budbee parcel locker. QLS will then automatically process the shipment via another available carrier that is activated for your account, such as DHL.

What does the end consumer see?

When the shipment is sent via another carrier:

  • no Budbee shipment is created;
  • GoParcel shows that the shipment is being sent via another carrier;
  • the end consumer does not receive a separate notification informing them that the carrier has been changed because the parcel is too large for the Budbee parcel locker.

The end consumer can then track the actual shipment via the carrier used to ship the parcel.

What do you see as an online retailer?

At present, you do not receive a separate notification when a Budbee shipment is sent via another carrier due to its dimensions.

The final shipment and carrier can, however, be found in the OMS. This allows you to check which carrier was actually used to ship the order.

Why is another carrier used?

By processing the shipment via another available carrier, the order can still be shipped if it turns out to be unsuitable for the selected Budbee parcel locker.

Which alternative carrier is used depends on the carriers available for your account.
