DPD Surcharges 2026
DPD applies surcharges for certain services, such as additional options or oversized parcels. QLS has compiled all applicable surcharges on this page, so there are no surprises.
The rates for additional services, such as insured shipping or signature on delivery, can be found on the Rates page in your my.QLS account.

Returns & Undeliverable Shipments Costs for delivery issues and refused parcels |

| Return of Undeliverable or Refused Parcels Parcels that cannot be delivered, are refused by the recipient, or are not collected from a Pickup parcel shop within the storage period (7 days) are returned to the sender. Parcels refused by the recipient are returned immediately. |

| NSP – Non-Standard Parcel A parcel is classified as an NSP (Non-Standard Parcel) if it meets one or more of the following criteria:
Category A – Less than 10% NSP Category B – 10% to 15% NSP Category C – 15% or more NSP Category D – 50% or more NSP |

| Tyre Surcharge Tyres shipped to Finland, Norway, and Denmark that are not packed in cardboard are repackaged by DPD in suitable packaging. In addition, a peak surcharge of €1.70 applies during the periods March through May and 24 September through 24 December. |

Administration & Processing Surcharges for manual handling and label-related issues |

| Age Check Verification that the recipient is 18 years of age or older. Mandatory for the delivery of alcohol and tobacco products in the Netherlands. |

| Manual Interventions Applies to modifications that cannot be made through the DPD software and therefore require manual processing by a DPD employee. |

| Oversized or Overweight Shipment Surcharge applied when the maximum weight of 31.5 kg or 70 kg per shipment is exceeded, or when a parcel is longer than 1.50 m. If a parcel exceeds both the weight and size limits, the surcharge is applied only once. |
