Manual Handling
A parcel that must be processed manually due to its nature, shape, or packaging.

DHL Parcel Size S
For each DHL parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size S has a maximum weight of 5 kg and a maximum volume of 10 liters. The longest side may be no more than 30 cm, and the other sides may be no more than 20 cm.

DHL Parcel Size M
For each DHL parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size M has a maximum weight of 10 kg and a maximum volume of 24 liters. The longest side may be no more than 40 cm, and the other sides may be no more than 30 cm.

DHL Parcel Size L
For each DHL parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size L has a maximum weight of 15 kg and a maximum volume of 60 liters. The longest side may be no more than 60 cm, and the other sides may be no more than 40 cm.

DHL Parcel Size XL
For each DHL parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size XL has a maximum weight of 20 kg and a maximum volume of 240 liters. The longest side may be no more than 100 cm, the width no more than 60 cm, and the height no more than 50 cm.

DHL Parcel Size XXL
For each DHL parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size XXL has a maximum weight of 31.5 kg and a maximum volume of 432 liters. The longest side may be no more than 120 cm, the width no more than 60 cm, and the height no more than 60 cm.

DHL Parcel Size XXXL
For each DHL parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size XXXL applies to parcels with a maximum weight of 31.5 kg and a maximum volume of 432 liters, where the longest side exceeds 120 cm. The width may be up to 60 cm and the height up to 60 cm.

Long Parcel
A parcel with a maximum of one side measuring between 180 cm and 240 cm in length. Maximum volume: 432 liters. Maximum weight: 31.5 kg.

Return – Oversized Parcel
If a parcel shipped to a residential address exceeds 240 cm or 432 liters, or if a parcel shipped to a DHL ServicePoint exceeds 120 cm or 240 liters, the parcel will be returned to the sender.

Return – Overweight Parcel
If a parcel shipped to a residential address weighs more than 31.5 kg, or if a parcel shipped to a DHL ServicePoint weighs more than 23 kg, the parcel will be returned to the sender (on a pallet).

New Address Label
If the address label, PDF, or EDI contains an error, DHL will print a new label.

Wadden Islands
When shipping a parcel to the Dutch Wadden Islands.

Undelivered Parcels
If a parcel cannot be delivered or is not collected from the DHL ServicePoint, it will be returned to the sender.

Out of Specifications – Netherlands
A parcel that is longer than 120 cm, wider than 60 cm, or higher than 60 cm. Maximum length: 180 cm. Maximum volume: 432 liters.

Out of Specifications – Belgium
A parcel that is longer than 120 cm, wider than 60 cm, or higher than 60 cm. Maximum length: 180 cm. Maximum volume: 432 liters.

Euro Pallet Exchange Service
When parcels are delivered for sorting on a Euro pallet, the Euro pallet will be exchanged.

Manual Handling
When a parcel cannot be automatically sorted by DHL due to its nature, shape, or packaging. Such a parcel may be delivered one day later.

DHL For You Parcel Size S
For each DHL For You parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size S has a maximum weight of 5 kg and a maximum volume of 10 liters. The longest side may be no more than 30 cm, and the other sides may be no more than 20 cm.

DHL For You Parcel Size M
For each DHL For You parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size M has a maximum weight of 10 kg and a maximum volume of 24 liters. The longest side may be no more than 40 cm, and the other sides may be no more than 30 cm.

For each DHL For You parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size L has a maximum weight of 15 kg and a maximum volume of 60 liters. The longest side may be no more than 60 cm, and the other sides may be no more than 40 cm.

DHL For You Parcel Size XL
For each DHL For You parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size XL has a maximum weight of 23 kg and a maximum volume of 240 liters. The longest side may be no more than 100 cm, the width no more than 60 cm, and the height no more than 50 cm.

DHL For You Parcel Size XXL
For each DHL For You parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size XXL has a maximum weight of 31.5 kg and a maximum volume of 432 liters. The longest side may be no more than 120 cm, the width no more than 60 cm, and the height no more than 60 cm.

For each DHL For You parcel size, an additional surcharge is applied on top of the base rate. Parcel Size XXXL applies to parcels with a maximum weight of 31.5 kg and a maximum volume of 432 liters, where the longest side exceeds 120 cm. The width may be up to 60 cm and the height up to 60 cm.

Out of Specifications – Netherlands
Surcharge for a parcel that exceeds L80 × W60 × H50 cm, with a maximum of L180 × W100 × H50 cm.

Out of Specifications – Belgium
Surcharge for a parcel that exceeds L80 × W60 × H50 cm, with a maximum of L180 × W100 × H50 cm.

Heavy Parcel
Parcel weighing between 20 kg and 31.5 kg.

If the address label, PDF, or EDI contains an error, DHL will print a new label.

Extra Large
A parcel measuring between L180 × W100 × H50 cm and a maximum of L240 × W100 × H200 cm.

Extra Large
When your parcel is longer than L240 cm but no more than L600 cm, with a maximum diameter of 30 cm and a maximum weight of 31.5 kg (for weights above 23 kg, the extra heavy surcharge also applies). Only available within the Benelux.

Heavy Parcel
Parcel weighing between 20 kg and 31.5 kg.

Heavy Parcel on Pallet
If a parcel weighing more than 31.5 kg is not placed on a pallet, DHL will place the parcel on a pallet.

Extra Space
A pallet larger than L120 × W100 cm and up to a maximum of L240 × W100 cm, or if goods extend beyond the pallet. The pallet may be up to 200 cm high, including the pallet.

Additional Pallet
More than 5 pallets, per delivery address, per day within the Benelux.

Undeliverable / Refused Shipments
When your parcel cannot be delivered.

New Address Label
If the address label, PDF, or EDI contains an error, DHL will print a new label.

Customs Handling – Europe
For shipping a consignment to customs-dutiable destinations (excluding the United Kingdom).
