Value Added Services
For our fulfilment customers, it is possible to purchase additional services for special handling. We call these Value Added Services, or VAS for short. On this page, you can read about all options and how to set them up.
For Value Added Services, we may charge additional fees. An overview of these costs can be found in my.QLS under Settings → Pricing.
Fragile items
All different fragile options can be easily set by yourself on the product page. All orders containing a product marked as fragile go via a separate conveyor belt to our manual packing department. This way, QLS can process thousands of orders per day while still guaranteeing that items are packed carefully!
Tip: You can easily change the fragile level of products in bulk using an Excel import. The import/export feature is located at the top right of the product overview page.
Fragile – paper
When you set a product as fragile – the box is filled with specially folded paper. This reduces movement during transport and absorbs shocks.
Extremely fragile
When you set a product as extremely fragile, the item is wrapped all around in paper. This provides an extra protective layer and absorbs shocks even better.
Besides the above solutions, we offer a few extra options. These can only be set up by account managers.
Fragile stickers
To make it clear to carriers that the shipment contains fragile items, we offer the option to place fragile stickers on the shipping box. Your account manager can activate this on request for different fragile levels. This way, the delivery driver knows it is a fragile package and handles it with extra care.
Large orders
When an order becomes too large, even normally non-fragile products can get damaged. Therefore, we offer the option to sort and pack large orders separately. We ensure that not too many items go into one box and that the box is well filled. Your account manager can activate this on request.
Custom packing gifs
For all fragile levels, our staff are shown gifs to demonstrate how to pack an order. If items need to be packed differently, your account manager can replace the gif with a custom one.
Own shipping box
We prefer to use our standard boxes for shipments. These boxes go through the packing machine, making the process much more efficient. If you want to use your own shipping box, it is possible to arrange this.
When using your own shipping box, it is mandatory that a unique EAN code is on the box. This allows us to enforce the use of your box during packing. If you want to use this, please contact your account manager.
Extra picks
When an order contains many items, it takes us more time to pack it. Therefore, we charge extra costs for a large number of picks. This ensures that larger orders are also packed and shipped properly. The price per item can be found in my.QLS under Settings → Pricing. There you can also see from which number of picks extra charges apply.
